Our Story

We are  a husband and wife team running our own private family practice as Mental Health professionals, providing talking therapy. Ian also offers talks and keynote speaking to local groups and community organisations on Mental Health awareness....

We are  experienced and qualified Cognitive Behavioural Coaches and ACT Trainers (Acceptance Commitment Therapy),  where I have used my experience, qualifications and background of working within a Community Mental Health Team  and as Practice Manager for NHS and Big Lottery funded projects, to form our own private family practice.

  We believe everyone should have access to low cost talking therapy, time unlimited, as and when needed.  We endeavour to respond to a request for a FREE initial phone consultation within 48 hours and have you starting face to face sessions with 2 weeks. We encourage family members to attend the first appointment if needed.

As husband and wife we are relationship coaches, coaching for over a decade with years of experience of improving relationships with couples, families and teams. We provide a private and confidential personal service, with support and encouragement to help you find out what’s draining your relationships and resolve any conflict.

Acceptance of things that are not in our control

We help individuals, couples & families who struggle with mood, anxiety, or psychotic symptoms. ACT trains us to notice the uncomfortable emotions or thoughts, acknowledge them and let them flow by without holding on to them or letting them drive our actions in that moment in line with our values and what or who are important to us. 

Committed Valued Action

ACT is a self-directed process. We help you define your values,  discuss with you,  your challenges and help you identify and describe negative coping strategies. You determine the actions you will take to resolve those challenges by using your values as a compass and guide.
